City Link national buyout 'not likely', says analyst

A national buyout of collapsed parcel delivery firm City Link is "not likely", an industrial relations analyst says.

On Monday, redundancy notices were issued to staff at the firm's depot at Gaerwen, Anglesey.

About 80 jobs are expected to go across Wales on New Year's Eve, after the firm went into administration on Christmas Eve.

The RMT union has criticised the Business Secretary Vince Cable for not holding a meeting before the New Year and has called for administrators Ernst and Young to halt the redundancies to allow talks to take place.

Industrial relations expert and analyst Nick Jones spoke to BBC Radio Wales.
