Arthur Jones inquest: Crete walker's inquest conclusion open

The family of a Denbighshire man who died while on holiday on Crete has criticised delays in being notified of his disappearance, saying they could have launched their search to find him sooner.

An open conclusion has been recorded into the death of Arthur Jones, 73, from Denbigh, who was found beneath a tree, six weeks after his disappearance..

The experienced walker was last seen on 19 June - two days after he arrived on the Greek island.

His family flew out to try to find him but it was only after he failed to return home to north Wales that Mr Jones' family realised he was missing.

Matthew Richards reports.
