No pay-off for Carmarthenshire council chief exec, says Labour
Public money should not be used to pay for a council chief executive's severance package, according to Labour.
Councillor Calum Higgins' comments come after it was reported Carmarthenshire council boss Mark James could receive a potential pay off of £446,000.
Mr James was one of the two council chiefs who received payments deemed unlawful.
Councillor Higgins said the pay off is not something they "would do for the ordinary worker in the county, so why should we do it for the chief executive?"
