Met Office: Heavy rain and gale force winds on the way

Heavy rainfall, strong winds and the risk of flooding are all forecast after snow and stormy conditions battered Wales on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Some 20-30mm of rain is expected to fall on Wednesday evening, with gale force winds and gusts of up to 80mph also anticipated.

The rain will clear by the early hours of Thursday morning, though it will turn cold again with wintery showers moving in.

According to a Met Office yellow be aware warning, localised flooding is also expected in some areas.
