£12m Cardigan Castle revamp coming to an end
A £12m refurbishment of Cardigan Castle is coming to an end and the 900-year-old site is soon set to open its doors for the first time in 18 years.
It will reopen in the spring as a heritage attraction and events venue with a restaurant and holiday accommodation.
Cadwgan Building Preservation has overseen the project thanks to grants, including £6m from the Heritage Lottery Fund and £200,000 raised in the community.
It is hoped the castle will attract 33,000 visitors in the first year.
