Bodelwyddan 's 1,700 new homes agreed

Plans to build 1,715 homes, a 100-bedroom hotel and a primary school in a Denbighshire village have been agreed.

Outline planning permission has been given for the sprawling development at Bodelwyddan by Denbighshire council's planning committee.

The community has a population of just over 2,100 and about 100 have raised concerns about the development's scale.

A care home, new highway and 64 acres of land for business development are also included in the proposals.

Matthew Richards reports.
