New M4 speed cameras catch 500 in four days

More than 100 motorists a day have been caught speeding on the M4 at Port Talbot since 50mph average speed cameras went live on Monday.

The four cameras have caught about 500 motorists in the first five days over the two-mile stretch.

The cameras are the first to go into operation on a Welsh section of the motorway, and during a pilot before Christmas around 700 drivers a day were caught.

Caroline Evans reports.
