Search for boy, 11, after River Towy fall in Carmarthen

A major river search will continue in the morning for an 11-year-old boy who fell into the water, police say.

Police, firefighters, a coastguard rescue team, the Ferryside inshore lifeboat crew and an RAF Sea King rescue helicopter have been at the River Towy in the Tanerdy area.

Dyfed-Powys Police were called just before 16:00 GMT on Tuesday.

The search has concluded for today and teams will return to the river on Wednesday morning.
