School's water flea in space experiment ready for lift-off
An experiment designed by Welsh school children is about to be launched into space.
Pupils from Rhondda Cynon Taf designed their experiment to study the effects of space travel on humans.
Based on the biology of a water flea, which is similar to that of humans, it is hoped the results will help prolong journeys into space.
Once the fleas arrive at the International Space Station, the science will be carried out by astronauts onboard.
