300 jobs at risk at 2 Sisters factory at Llangefni
Union leaders have held a four hour meeting with managers at a Llangefni poultry plant amid fears over 300 jobs could be axed.
On Friday it was made public the 2 Sisters factory in the Anglesey town is considering cutting an entire shift.
The company employs about 800 people at the chicken processing facility.
Paddy McNaught, the regional organiser for Unite, said morale was "very very low", amid fears 200 agency jobs could be lost along with about 116 employees.
"People are concerned whether they will have a job in 45 days' time," he said, adding that he was hopeful the final figure could be reduced with further negotiation.
