Cwmbran triple murder 'too awful to talk about'

A friend of the family murdered in a house fire in Cwmbran said the night of the killings was too awful to talk about.

Louise Davey witnessed Kim Buckley, 46, Kayleigh, 17, and six-month-old Kimberley die at their home in September 2012.

Kayleigh's boyfriend and father of Kimberley, Carl Mills, 28, torched the house and was later sentenced to at least 35 years in prison.

On Thursday, a review said their deaths might have been prevented if Gwent Police had checked the killer's background when complaints were made about him.

But the force insisted Mills was solely responsible for the deaths.

Following the publication of the three reports - a Serious Case Review, a Domestic Homicide Review and an investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission - Ms Davey spoke to BBC Wales.
