Parents angry over nursery cuts by Rhondda Cynon Taf council
Hundreds of people held a protest in Pontypridd town centre over nursery education cuts by Rhondda Cynon Taf council.
The authority is scrapping free full-time nursery care for children aged three from September in a move it hopes it will save £2.16m a year.
Under the new system, children aged three will be offered free part-time nursery care but will not get full-time education until age four.
Joanne Caddy, from Parents Against the Cuts to Education, said the decision was being taken due to cash concerns.
