Anglesey fire: Residents evacuated following petrol station blaze

Residents have been evacuated and taken to a nearby school as firefighters tackle an ongoing blaze on Anglesey.

The fire broke out in a workshop at a petrol station in Pentraeth at about 04:50 BST on Friday.

Up to 30 homes on the Nant y Felin estate have been taken to a primary school in Pentraeth and the A5025 Bangor Road in Pentraeth has been closed.

Gary Brandick, senior fire safety manager at the fire service, said the priority has been to contain the fire.
