Family 'angry' over Margaret Harries' stroke delays
The family of an 86-year-old woman who suffered a stroke while waiting to be discharged from a hospital and was not seen by a doctor for six hours say they feel vindicated by a report which outlined failings in her care.
Margaret Harries, from Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taff, later had another stroke at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant, in 2012.
Her family made repeated requests for answers from Cwm Taf health board.
Public Services Ombudsman for Wales, Nick Bennett, upheld their complaint.
