Cardiff flyers telling Muslims not to vote 'misguided'

A confrontation broke out outside an Islamic centre in Cardiff on Friday when men started handing out leaflets saying no Muslim person should vote.

Flyers have also been put up in the Grangetown area of the city saying democracy "violates the right of Allah".

Daoud Salaman, chairman of the South Wales Islamic Centre in Butetown, said "misguided boys" were behind the efforts to discourage voters.

Caroline Evans reports.
