VE Day tribute at Cardiff Castle

A two minute silence was held at Cardiff Castle to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two in Europe.

The commemoration started at 15:00 BST - the time Prime Minister Winston Churchill announced the surrender of Germany on 8 May 1945.

As well as the tribute in Wales, there was a ceremony at the Cenotaph in London, where First Minister Carwyn Jones joined other political leaders.
