Jeremy Corbyn says Port Talbot Steelworks 'not expendable'

Jeremy Corbyn has said that the Port Talbot steelworks is "not expendable" on a visit to the town.

The Labour leader has joined growing calls for central government intervention after Tata Steel said it wanted to sell its loss-making UK business, putting thousands of jobs at risk.

First Minister Carwyn Jones said a UK government take-over will "buy time" for Tata Steel plants.

The assembly will be recalled on Monday to discuss the situation.
