Port of Milford Haven to replace its pilot boat fleet

A Pembrokeshire port has taken delivery of the first of three new pilot boats.

St Brides will transfer pilots to and from ships visiting terminals along the Milford Haven waterway.

The 19m (62ft) vessels are being been built by Mainstay Marine Solutions and designed to take on 5m (16ft) waves and turbulence from large tankers.

The new pilot boats are part of a £3.6m investment by the Port of Milford Haven.
