Alltwen mountain blaze cause still unknown

Firefighters have remained at a Conwy county mountain following a grassland fire which broke out on Saturday night.

The cause of the blaze at Alltwen mountain, near Dwygyfylchi, has not yet been determined.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service brought it under control on Sunday but said it used up "valuable resources".

The service asked people to take care in dry weather disposing of cigarettes and barbecues and warned those starting deliberate fires face prosecution.
