Colourful Pride march takes to streets of Cardiff

Thousands of people have marched through the streets of Cardiff city centre celebrating Pride Cymru.

Playing instruments, dancing and carrying colourful banners, the crowds - including a well-dressed dog - made their way to Cooper's Field for events on Saturday.

It came as doubts were cast over whether the celebrations of equality will take place in 2017.

The city council said there were "challenges" over the date next year, as the field would be used as a Champions League final fan zone.

Pride Cymru chairwoman Lu Thomas said she was "disappointed".
