Hundreds sign petition to save Aberaeron harbourmaster
An online petition has been launched to save a Ceredigion town's harbourmaster.
Ceredigion council is considering cutting the full-time post in Aberaeron to save about £30,000 a year. It said it needed to respond to the "tough financial climate" but no firm decision had been made.
More than 600 people have so-far signed the petition in support of Peter Evans.
Boat owner Nick Sawyer told BBC Wales a harbourmaster is needed in Aberaeron as it "has more hazards" than Aberystwyth and New Quay.
