Ear bite victim's 'shock' at pub attacker's sentence

A man who had "half my ear" bitten off in an unprovoked attack has said he is "disappointed" at the sentence given to his attacker.

Geraint Evan Jones was jailed for 16 months after the incident at an Aberystwyth pub, when he had been dressed as Colonel Gaddafi.

Jones, 25, from Aberystwyth, admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm but was cleared of acting with intent at Swansea Crown Court.

Victim Gwynant Jones, from Machynlleth, Powys, said he had "taken part of someone off basically" and was "shocked" at the sentence.
