Luke Jenkins death: Heart op boy legal battle 'draining'

The family of a child who died following heart surgery are expected to receive a financial settlement at the High Court in London.

Luke Jenkins, seven, from Cardiff, had an operation at Bristol Children's Hospital in March 2012. But days later he suffered a cardiac arrest and died.

An NHS Ombudsman's report identified "missed opportunities" in his care.

The family will receive compensation from the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

Luke's mother Faye Valentine said the court battle had been "draining".
