Islamophobic views not to be tolerated, says PCC

Islamophobic views should "not to be tolerated", the police and crime commissioner for South Wales Police has said.

He was speaking after Darren Osborne, 47, from Cardiff, was arrested after worshippers appeared to be targeted by a man driving a van near Finsbury Park Mosque in north London on Monday.

He is being held on suspicion of attempted murder and alleged terror offences.

Alun Michael said right-wing extremism must be challenged at every opportunity.
