Mother's tribute to Afghanistan soldier Jamie Shadrake
The mother of Jamie Shadrake, who was shot dead in an insurgent attack in Afghanistan, pays tribute to her son following an inquest into his death.
Guardsman Shadrake, 20, from Wrexham, of 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, was shot in an attack at a checkpoint in Helmand Province in August 2012.
A coroner recorded a narrative verdict and said Guardsman Shadrake was unlawfully killed while on active service.
His mother Cathryn Griffiths said his family believed in what he was trying to do in Afghanistan.
