Six Nations warm-up sees Tory leader tackle rugby rivals

Politicians from Westminster and the Welsh assembly and their staff have been tackling each other on the rugby field in the build up to the 2015 Six Nations tournament.

Welsh Tory leader Andrew RT Davies and Plaid Cymru's Rhun ap Iorwerth were among those representing the assembly while Welsh Secretary Stephen Crabb and his junior minister Alun Cairns lined up for the Commons and Lords.

The game was staged at Cardiff Arms Park on Friday afternoon ahead of Wales v England at the neighbouring Millennium Stadium.

Andrew RT Davies proved his worth, setting up the opening try for the assembly team, which beat the parliamentarians 33-14.
