Wales devolution: 'Bizarre' to reject tax referendum

Welsh Secretary Stephen Crabb has said it is "bizarre" for the Welsh government to reject calls for a referendum on income tax powers, claiming the UK government has moved mountains to promise a funding floor.

First Minister Carwyn Jones dismissed Friday's offer from David Cameron and Nick Clegg as a "vague promise" which should not be dependent on him holding a public vote on income tax devolution.

Mr Crabb insisted that Welsh ministers had been given the assurance on funding they were looking for.
