Job centre closures: No need to rent empty space, MPs told

Closing some job centres means that taxpayers' money will not be spent on rent for "empty space", MPs have been told.

Commons Leader David Lidington said the Department for Work and Pensions was reviewing its use of buildings to deliver better value for money.

He was responding to Blaenau Gwent Labour MP Nick Smith, who said closing job centres in places like Tredegar would put an added burden on job seekers.
