Overseas trade offices can't do it alone, Lord Digby Jones warns

Former UK trade minister Lord Digby Jones has warned that Welsh trade missions need support from home and "products they can sell".

First Minister Carwyn Jones announced last week that five new overseas offices would open in 2018, bringing the total number of offices abroad to 20.

But Lord Jones, who served under Gordon Brown's premiership, told the BBC's Sunday Politics Wales there was a risk "some people back at the ranch will stop trying".
