Sister of murder victim appeals over domestic abuse
A woman whose sister was murdered by her estranged husband after years of violence has appealed for more awareness to stamp out domestic abuse as part of a global day of action.
Nadia Salaman said her sister Assia Newton, from Bridgend, suffered for many years before being strangled by Kelvin Newton, 45.
He was jailed for life last year.
Events are taking place around Wales to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
