Woman in hospital after Brecon Beacons gorge rescue

A woman was rescued by a coastguard helicopter on Saturday after falling and injuring her leg in a gorge in the Brecon Beacons.

Central Beacons mountain rescue team were called to the incident by Dyfed-Powys police late on Saturday afternoon.

The woman had fallen near Sgwd yr Eira waterfall. The rescue team carried her out of the gorge by stretcher.

She was then transferred to hospital by a coastguard helicopter.
