Pope's Anglican conversion offer led to 'tensions'

The latest American diplomatic cables released by the website Wikileaks suggest serious tensions between the Anglican church and the Vatican.

According to the documents, the rift arose over the Pope's announcement last year that he would make special provision for disaffected Anglicans who wanted to convert to Catholicism.
