Greece crisis: Syntagma Square

Just a day after violent clashes between protesters and riot police in Athens, Syntagma Square is returning to normal life.

Tour buses are stopping to give tourists up-close views of burnt out buildings and ransacked businesses.

The clashes came after Greek MPs voted to impose tax increases and spending cuts in an attempt to avoid bankruptcy.

Greece's parliament is to hold a second vote on its austerity programme, which it needs to implement to secure the country further financial support.

Jon Sopel is in Syntagma Square.
