Russian nuclear submarine catches fire

Fire has broken out on board a nuclear submarine that is docked at a shipyard in the Murmansk region of northern Russia.

Helicopters and tugboats have been deployed to bring the blaze under control.

All weapons had been removed from the 167m Yekaterinburg - which launched a ballistic missile as recently as July - and the nuclear reactor shut down, officials said.

Emergency officials described radiation levels as "normal".
