Preparations start for salvage operation of stranded ship

As divers scour the 1,500 cabins for signs of life, and hopes fade of finding more people alive, thoughts have turned to rescuing the ship.

Maritime salvage specialists have staff at the scene and are assessing the options.

The vessel had only just set sail when it ran aground and was carrying more than 2,000 tonnes of fuel.

Daniel Boettcher reports.
