Fighting sexism in Australian politics

The BBC's Yalda Hakim meets Australian women who work in politics and asks whether they thrive in a difficult political culture.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and his rival, Tony Abbott, are busy crossing Australia in a last-ditch effort to win votes ahead of the 7 September general election.

Mr Rudd replaced Julia Gillard in June, after a premiership that sparked considerable debate over gender and politics in Australia.

So how much room is there for women in politics in Australia today? Yalda Hakim has been finding out.
