Georgia increase in women killed by their partners

The problem of violence against women is acute in the republic of Georgia, which has seen a big increase in the numbers of women killed by their husbands in recent months.

This year alone, at least 23 women have died at the hands of their abusive partners.

Rights groups say for a small country like Georgia the problem has reached epidemic proportions.

Rayhan Demytrie sent this report from Tbilisi.
