The first British suicide bomber in Syria

Abdul Waheed Majid was the first British suicide bomber in Syria.

Having told his family he was helping with humanitarian efforts, the 41-year-old from Crawley ended driving a truck laden with explosives into Aleppo jail for the Al Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al Nusra, in February 2014.

At least two other Brits are thought to have since performed similar attacks.

James Longman reports.
