Migrants making hazardous journeys to reach Italy

Pope Francis has thanked Italy for bearing the brunt of migrant rescue efforts.

Some 10,000 migrants have been rescued in the past week by Italy's coastguard, but 400 were feared drowned on Monday.

James Reynolds reports from Palermo on the plight of migrants making the hazardous journey.
