Planes grounded at 'too hot' Phoenix airport

More than 40 flights had to be cancelled at Phoenix airport in Arizona after temperatures reached 49C (120F) .

The cancellations mostly affected smaller airlines operating on regional routes, which have a maximum operating temperature of about 48C.
