Niger appeals for international aid after floods

Niger's prime minister has appealed for international help after torrential rain caused widespread floods, destroying homes and desperately-needed crops.

The flood damage comes after a long-running drought which has left more than half of the country's 15 million people already in need of food aid.

Mike Thomson reports from Niamey.
