Nigerian independence celebrations sabotaged by deadly blasts
Explosions have killed at least eight people in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, during celebrations to mark 50 years of independence from the UK.
Police say the blasts were caused by car bombs.
Two went off outside the Federal Court. Another, smaller bomb is thought to have detonated in a nearby main square.
The BBC's Komla Dumor reports from Abuja.
