Ivory Coast on brink of ousting Gbagbo but at what cost?
The violent presidential power struggle in the West African state of Ivory Coast appears to be nearing an end.
The man who has been refusing to give up the presidency, Laurent Gbagbo, is said to be trying to negotiate a surrender.
This afternoon forces loyal to his rival Alassane Ouattara were closing in on his bunker as the UN warned that the situation for civilians has deteriorated dramatically.
