Votes counted in Nigerian elections

Votes are being counted in parliamentary elections in Nigeria following fears of violence which had forced the polling day to be put off twice in the space of a week.

There were reports of violence at some counting stations, but in Nigeria's main city of Lagos, the voting itself passed off in relative peace.
