Ivory Coast: Gbagbo to be given 'dignified treatment'

Alassane Ouattara, the UN recognised leader of Ivory Coast, has addressed the nation promising "dignified treatment" for former leader Laurent Gbagbo.

Speaking hours after the arrest, Mr Ouattara said he had ordered an investigation into Mr Gbagbo's actions.

He promised to guarantee the personal security of Mr Gbagbo and his family.
