Fazul Abdullah Mohammed 'killed in Somalia'
Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, a senior al-Qaeda figure in East Africa, has been killed in a gunfight at a roadblock in the Somali capital Mogadishu, officials say.
Mr Mohammed is believed to have played a key role in the 1998 attacks on US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
The US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has called his death a "significant blow" to al-Qaeda.
The BBC's East Africa correspondent Will Ross reports from Nairobi.
