Nigeria blast blamed on Islamic militant group Boko Haram

In Nigeria a bomb has exploded outside the national police headquarters in the capital Abuja.

The Red Cross claims at least six people were killed.

Police suspect a suicide bomber from the Islamic militant group, Boko Haram, was behind the attack.

It is the latest deadly bombing to strike the capital of Africa's most populous nation and in the northeast of the country another blast, also blamed on the same group, killed three children.

Jonah Fisher reports.
