Greenpeace pays tribute to Wangari Maathai

There has been a powerful reaction to the death of Wangari Maathai in Africa and across the world.

She was the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

The seventy-one year old Kenyan environmental and human rights campaigner had been undergoing treatment for cancer in a hospital in Nairobi.

The head of Greenpeace International, Kumi Naidoo, explained what her legacy would be for the environmental movement.
