Libyan NTC fighters breach Gaddafi city Sirte from east

Anti-Gaddafi fighters have breached the former Libyan leader's hometown of Sirte, one of the last remaining loyalist strongholds.

Soldiers traded rocket fire with Gaddafi loyalists as they edged from the eastern suburbs into the city, supported by Nato planes.

The BBC's Alistair Leithead reports from Sirte.
