Desmond Tutu celebrates his 80th birthday

As Archbishop Desmond Tutu celebrates his 80th birthday on Friday, he has courted controversy by calling the ruling ANC "worse than the apartheid government".

The ANC has rejected the comments, which were in relation to the South African government's failure to grant the Dalai Lama a visa in order to attend his spiritual friend's birthday celebrations.

Karen Allen reports from Cape Town.
